Pamela Mason is a patient advocate, speaker, and volunteer with the Short Bowel Syndrome Foundation. Living with short bowel syndrome and other complex gastrointestinal conditions has shaped her passion for helping others feel heard, supported, and empowered.

She joined SBSF in 2025 and serves as unpaid volunteer staff—contributing as a digital creator and supporting webinar and community education efforts so more people can find connection and practical support.

Volunteer-powered service
Pamela is not paid by SBSF. She gives her free time to strengthen education, connection, and community for people living with Short Bowel Syndrome and intestinal failure.

Pamela is passionate about building connection and community for those living with SBS. Her advocacy is rooted in lived experience—and in the belief that people deserve to feel heard, supported, and empowered as they navigate short bowel syndrome and related gastrointestinal conditions.

Outside of advocacy

When she is not volunteering with SBSF, Pamela enjoys true crime, collecting comic books, playing video games, and spending time with her dog, Dominic.
